Last night, at approximately 9:04 PM, multiple UNT services--including Blackboard Learn--had a brief total outage that lasted until 9:14 PM. The system has since returned to normal and students are encouraged to communicate with course faculty in resolving any course work related issues that may have been caused by the outage.

Learn Outage 10/21/15
As of 12:15 PM CST today, users reported being unable to log into Blackboard Learn. The front page will appear but users cannot log in with their credentials.
We are aware of the issue and are currently working to resolve it.

UPDATE: The previously reported login outage has been resolved as 1:05 PM.
The extent of the outage has been recorded and students are encouraged to communicate with course faculty in resolving any course work related issues that may have been caused by the outage.

Learn Regular Maintenance Running Long 5/3/2015
The Learn System is currently unavailable due to longer than expected migration of course data. We expect learn to be up shortly, and we'll update this blog once the course data migration is complete and learn is restored to normal working order.

Learn Outage 10/17/14
At approximately 10:14 AM CST today Blackboard Learn had a brief total outage that lasted until 10:24 AM. The source of the outage affected multiple UNT services including Learn. At this time, the system has returned to normal and we will continue to keep a close eye on it for any further outages.

Learn Outage 10/08/14
At approximately 5:05pm CST today Blackboard Learn had a brief total outage that lasted until 5:12pm when all Learn nodes were restarted. We are presently investigating a solution for the problem, however we do not expect further issues at this time and the system is operating normally. Ongoing UNT Networking Issues
At approximately 1:30 PM, UNT Denton experienced a networking hardware failure that has caused networking issues on UNT Denton and Discovery Park campuses. These issues have the potential to affect all UNT services, including Blackboard Learn. You may experience slow page loads and your connection may reset. The appropriate teams are working on a solution.

Student Webmail Issues
The Office 365 mail system, starting at 1:30 pm, is currently experiencing a service outage. No student accounts are able to receive email from any source at this time, including from Learn servers. The issue is
not related to Learn systems and is being worked on by the UNT mail team in
conjunction with Microsoft engineers.
